Our Story

I still wanted to provide a service to my clients, so I sent out home facial kits, custom made press on nails and wellness boxes; they went down so well that I put together a ‘Beauty Box’ for my clients and sold them all within days. 

Because of how much my own business had been affected, I began to wonder about how other small businesses were fairing and how I could support them. My ‘Beauty Box’ was such a success I started to think outside the box of where my beauty therapy skills would fit into this new world, and how I could incorporate small ethical businesses. 

 

We all saw how much the planet healed while we were in lockdown; and I thought… imagine if we could carry this on and keep healing and protecting our planet. The cosmetics industry accounts for such a large amount of un recyclable plastic waste, and by encouraging more people to go eco-friendly I thought we can help people do ‘self-care’ with a conscience 

 

In December 2020  I launched the first official ‘Beauty Box’ it was a Christmas edition and since then we have released other featured boxes and supported over 30  small ethical UK businesses. 

I believe that beauty and self-care is important, but it shouldn’t come at the cost of the planet or it’s animals.

 And because our suppliers are small UK Family run businesses, our carbon footprint is low, and we get to support a family and a dream. 

I am incredibly proud of what ‘The Beauty Box UK’ stands for and what I am trying to achieve, I have worked incredibly hard and come across a mountain of obstacles along the way, but I have pushed on with determination and a dream and I am determined to make a difference.
